When Dominic’s mom contacted me for a cake smash for her son’s firs birthday, I asked her if she had a theme in mind (since I completely customize everyone’s cake smash!) and she gave me a few ideas. One of them was a BBQ theme and I just fell in love – this would be so much fun to create. And it was definitely one of my favourite  Calgary cake smashes to date. From the background and props to the cake, it was perfect!

When Dominic arrived, he had just awake from a nap, so he was a little shy and he didn’t want to leave mom’s side. I am a mom myself and I know all about the ‘stranger danger’, so I gave them extra time so he could warm up to me, and we ended up with the cutest images. He even loved to dance when “Baby Shark” was played.

I loved this session and I loved meeting this family.
